Pastor Fine Paiaaua - It Does Not Matter

08 Nov 2025

In this sermon—“It Does Not Matter”—we explore the surprising genealogy of Jesus Christ.
Matthew’s record in Matthew 1:1-6 highlights five women woven into the lineage of the Messiah—Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary. Three of these women emerged from pagan backgrounds. All of them carried stories marked by brokenness, exploitation, loss, or scandal. And yet God chose them as part of the family line through which the Saviour entered the world.
In this message we unpack the stories of Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary. Through each story we see this central message: it does not matter how your story begins—what matters is how God can finish it.
Every sinner has a future. Every saint has a past. And Jesus, who is not ashamed to call us His brethren, has a genealogy that proves God can redeem any heritage and transform any legacy.
Discover why your inheritance is not as important as what you choose to do with it, why your past does not disqualify you, and why God’s love remains constant—even when your story includes silence, struggle, or shame.
Join us as we reflect on the heritage of Christ and the legacy He invites us to leave.
